Lingerie Bash - What's a Lingerie Party and why do I throw one?

On March 2nd, 2024, I threw my THIRD all women’s charity event. Here’s a recap of why we do it and what it means to me.

Years ago I was full throttle with pushing myself to teach self-love workshops and branch out Unbound Images to be more than just a boudoir studio. I wanted to actively show my clients, friends, women in general, how to take what a boudoir session can do, and implement it into their daily lives. Because lets be real, a boudoir session can’t fully heal your body image, and the work never stops when you leave my studio.

Then Covid happened and I was stuck with my thoughts on what I would do when we came out of hiding….

Enter my big, scary ideas….

What if I did something that I’ve never really seen done before? And what if it was scary because vulnerability breeds confidence??… or what if I’m insane and this will never work??

So I did it anyways.

This year we celebrated and honored Feminine Rage. Doing a “theme” wasn’t something I had ever planned to do, but it seemed to just happen based on what I was going through personally each year...

The first year was just show up in lingerie or whatever the hell makes you feel sexy as hell, the second year I wanted to embrace my inner child and we went full 90’s. This was the year when I really knew that people would not only show up to this, have a good time, but more importantly, want to come back year after year.

The second year we raised around $500 for charity, but enter year 3….

This year was what I would call our “breakthrough year” we had attendees that I had never seen before, not just clients and friends. We had a waiting list for people who missed tickets and wanted to be a back up if we had space open up. We raised OVER $1200!

While this may not seem like much, this is coming from just around 50+ guests. Some even donating the night of, pulling me in secret to give me money for the abuse they had also endured. POWERFULLLL Stuff yall.

We chose Abuse Alternatives in Bristol this year as our charity, and I could not be more proud to support this organization and what they do for the community. I hope to eventually branch out and be able to support more organsizations, but baby steps are okay too.

If you missed the last few years….

Don’t worry, I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. We plan to continue to have them the first weekend in March annually…. So mark your calendars.

This party has become my passion child. It has been something that has grown quickly and each year I learn something new about myself, the guests that attend, and what this community of women in our area need.

I hope to be old and gray and maybe we have some version of this LIT ASS party in our pj’s or maybe I can just host a charity brunch in our moo moos? Either way, I’m doing it.

A very special shout out to all our vendors this year.

They all showed up and out for me and this event and I genuinely couldn’t have done it without them.
